Seasonal Favorites

I'll let you in on a little secret...

I may have a slight flower addiction. 😂

Every season around here is an excuse to build something new, and I genuinely enjoy creating the sets just as much as photographing the people in them.

People always ask where I find everything, and the answer is usually a mix of antique stores, estate sales, thrift shops, flea markets, and whatever little hole-in-the-wall shop I happen to wander into.

The one thing I buy over and over again?

Flowers.

If you've followed my work for any amount of time, you've probably noticed one thing...

I love flowers. 🌸

Spring, summer, fall, Christmas... it doesn't matter the season. Somehow flowers always find their way into my sets.

Most of the florals I use come from Hobby Lobby. I wait for sales, buy a few stems at a time, and slowly build my collection each season. Before you know it, you'll have bins full of beautiful flowers ready to use year after year.

They're one of the best investments I've made for my studio because I use them over and over again.

When it comes to decorating, I rarely buy everything from one place.

Some of my favorite pieces have been discovered while wandering through antique stores, estate sales, flea markets, garage sales, and thrift shops.

The best props are often the ones with a little history behind them.

Keep your eyes open. You never know when you'll stumble across the perfect chair, basket, lantern, or vintage treasure that becomes the centerpiece of your next set.

One thing I have learned over the years...

Once a season is over, pack everything away neatly.

Clear storage bins have become one of my favorite investments because they keep everything organized, protected, and easy to find when the next season rolls around.

Future you will be very thankful. 😂
