When is the best time for milestone portraits?
Milestone sessions are most commonly scheduled around 3, 6 and 9 months, but there isn't a perfect age. Whether your little one has just started sitting, is learning to crawl, or simply has a personality you never want to forget, we'll plan the session around this season of childhood rather than a specific date.

Can parents and siblings be included?
Absolutely! While this page focuses on your child, family portraits can absolutely be included. Sometimes the images parents treasure most are the quiet hugs, tiny hands reaching for mom, or big brother making little sister laugh.

What should my child wear?
Simple, timeless clothing always photographs beautifully. Neutral colors, soft textures and classic styles keep the focus where it belongs—on your child. You'll also receive a planning guide before your session, and I have beautiful wardrobe options available for little ones to make planning even easier.

Where do sessions take place?
Sessions can take place throughout the Little Ranch Farm, my private portrait property in Santa Fe, Texas. With multiple outdoor locations and my indoor studio available, we can create a variety of looks without ever leaving the property.

My child is shy (or never stops moving). Is that okay?
Honestly... that's pretty normal. 😊
Some children need a few quiet minutes to warm up, while others want to explore every flower, rock and puddle they can find. I never expect little ones to sit perfectly still. My sessions are relaxed and designed to let children be themselves, which often creates the sweetest portraits.

Do you offer milestone collections?
Yes! Families who begin documenting milestones during baby's first year receive private milestone collection information after booking. It's my favorite way to celebrate each stage as your little one grows.

Can I book a session for my older child?
Absolutely.
These sessions aren't only for babies. Whether you're celebrating a birthday, updating yearly portraits, or simply want beautiful images of your child just because, these sessions are designed for children of all ages.

What happens if the weather doesn't cooperate?
Texas weather likes to keep us guessing. If rain decides to show up, we'll simply move your session to another available date. My goal is always to create beautiful portraits without anyone feeling rushed or stressed.
