The Family Experience

Family sessions at Natasha Snyder Photography are designed to be relaxed, enjoyable, and completely centered around your family.

Located on The Little Ranch Farm, sessions take place across a private property filled with unique locations including the greenhouse, vintage truck, pond, rowboat, oak trees, studio spaces, and seasonal sets. There is plenty of room for children to explore, play, and simply be themselves.

And honestly, that's exactly how I like it.

Some of my favorite images happen in the in-between moments. The giggles. The bear hugs. The kids who would rather run than sit still. The way your family naturally interacts when everyone is having fun together.

Don't worry if your children aren't interested in standing perfectly still and smiling at the camera the entire time. The farm was built for families, and I want your session to feel more like an experience and less like a chore.

Every family session includes:

• Access to The Little Ranch Farm experience

• Use of the greenhouse, vintage truck, pond, rowboat, oak trees, studio spaces, and seasonal sets

• Wardrobe guidance, styling assistance, and access to a carefully curated client closet

• A guided session from start to finish, so you never have to wonder what to do with your hands or where to look

My goal is simple: create beautiful portraits while making sure your family enjoys the process along the way.

what makes this different

What Makes This Different

Over the years, I've added and created locations across The Little Ranch Farm with photographers and families in mind.

Instead of meeting at a crowded public park and hoping for the best, you'll have access to a private property filled with beautiful backdrops, unique structures, seasonal setups, and open spaces designed specifically for portraits.

One of the things families love most is that everything is in one place.

We can move from the greenhouse to the pond, visit the vintage truck, stop beneath the oak trees, or explore seasonal sets without ever leaving the property. There is no rushing from location to location or competing with crowds in the background.

The farm also gives children room to be children.

They can explore, play, laugh, and move naturally while we create images that feel genuine and full of personality. Some of the best photographs happen when kids are simply having fun and enjoying the experience.

Most importantly, you don't have to carry the stress of making everything perfect.

I've got that part covered.

From helping with wardrobe choices to guiding you through poses and prompts, I'll walk you through the entire process so you can focus on what matters most—spending time with the people you love.

This Experience May Be a Great Fit for You If...

• You want more than a quick photo for social media

• You love images that show your family's personality and connection

• You want a photographer who will guide you every step of the way

• You appreciate having beautiful locations, styling help, and a stress-free experience all in one place

• You understand just how quickly childhood changes and want to remember it well

Your Photos Deserve More Than a Spot on Your Phone

One of my favorite things is helping families turn their images into something they can enjoy every single day.

Whether it's a custom album sitting on your coffee table, a framed print in the hallway, or a statement wall portrait above the couch, your photographs deserve to be seen and enjoyed long after your session is over.

Because let's be honest...

The images we treasure most are rarely the ones buried somewhere in our camera roll.

They're the ones hanging on the wall that make us smile every time we walk past them.

I'll personally help guide you through print and display options so your portraits not only look beautiful, but feel right at home in the spaces where your family lives and grows.

When is the best time for family portraits?

Most family sessions take place during golden hour — either shortly after sunrise or in the hour before sunset — when the light is soft, flattering, and beautifully natural.

Evening sessions offer warm, glowing tones, while morning sessions provide a softer, lighter feel and are often ideal for families with young children.

Together, we’ll choose the timing that best supports your family’s rhythm and the look you love.

What should we wear?

Once your session is booked, I provide personalized wardrobe guidance to ensure your family photographs cohesively and timelessly. I also offer access to curated wardrobe pieces for select sessions.

Every recommendation is made with the finished portrait in mind — how tones complement one another, how textures photograph in natural light, and how everything comes together to create a polished, refined final result.

The goal is not simply coordinating outfits — it’s designing a portrait that feels effortless and beautifully complete.

What if my children don’t cooperate?

Children are never expected to “perform.” Sessions are intentionally designed to allow movement, connection, and play. Some of the most meaningful portraits come from unscripted moments. I gently guide when needed, but never force expressions.

Can grandparents or extended family be included?

Absolutely! Extended family may be included with advance planning. If you’re hoping to include grandparents or multiple households, let me know during booking so we can design the session accordingly.

What happens if the weather doesn’t cooperate?

Because sessions take place outdoors at the Little Ranch Farm, we monitor weather closely. If conditions are unsafe or not ideal, we reschedule to ensure the quality of your portraits is never compromised.

How far in advance should we book?

Family sessions typically book 3–6 weeks in advance, especially during peak spring and fall seasons. I recommend reaching out early to secure your preferred date.

Do you offer albums or wall art?

Yes. In addition to digital collections, heirloom albums, fine art prints, and custom wall installations are available. I personally guide the design process to ensure your portraits are beautifully preserved and displayed in your home.
