My Newborn Favorites

If you've ever seen one of my newborn sessions, you may have noticed I don't use a lot of props.
That's intentional.
My newborn sessions have always been more about the connection between baby and family than filling the set with lots of accessories. Most of my babies spend a good part of their session safely wrapped in their parents' arms, and those are often the images families treasure the most.

The items below are simply the things I find myself reaching for over and over again. They're practical, timeless, and fit the style of newborn photography I love.

If I could only recommend one newborn item, it would be quality wraps.

They add beautiful texture, keep baby cozy, and work in almost every setup. I prefer neutral colors that never go out of style and allow the focus to stay exactly where it belongs—on baby.

For baby girls, I keep things simple.

A delicate headband is often all that's needed. I love soft florals, neutral textures, and timeless pieces that complement an image instead of stealing attention from it.

This little bed has been one of my favorite studio pieces for years.

It's simple, versatile, and photographs beautifully with a wrap and a few layers underneath.

Sometimes less really is more.

I tend to keep everything neutral and timeless. Different layers add softness and dimension without distracting from the baby.
