When should I book my cake smash session?
I recommend reserving your session about 2–3 months in advance. This gives us plenty of time to plan the perfect theme, order any specialty items, and schedule your session before your little one's birthday.

Is the cake included?
Yes! Every cake smash session includes a custom cake designed to coordinate with your chosen theme. It's one less thing for you to worry about, so you can simply show up and enjoy celebrating your little one.

Can I choose my own theme?
Absolutely! Whether you're dreaming of something timeless and simple or a completely custom theme, we'll work together to design a session that reflects your vision. From props and colors to backdrops and styling, every detail is thoughtfully planned.

Do you provide outfits?
Yes! I have a growing client closet with beautiful options for little ones, along with a collection of timeless props and accessories. If you'd rather bring your own outfit, you're welcome to do that as well.

What if my child doesn't like the cake?
That's perfectly okay—and it happens more often than you'd think!
Some little ones dive right in, while others are a bit more cautious. We never force it. The session is designed around your child, and some of the sweetest portraits happen before the cake is ever touched.

What if my child cries or isn't interested?
Please don't stress about it! Toddlers have their own personalities, and I expect that. Some children are shy, some are adventurous, and some simply need a little extra time to warm up. I never rush a session or expect perfect behavior. My goal is to create a relaxed experience where your little one can simply be themselves, because those genuine expressions often become the portraits parents love the most.

How long does a cake smash session last?
Most sessions last around 45–60 minutes, depending on your collection and how your little one is feeling. There's never any rush—we allow plenty of time for smiles, breaks, outfit changes, and, of course, lots of frosting.

Can parents or siblings be included?
Absolutely! Many families love beginning the session with a few family portraits before we bring out the cake. It's a wonderful way to celebrate your child's first birthday while capturing your family together.

Do you only photograph first birthday cake smashes?
Not at all! While first birthdays are the most popular, cake smash sessions are perfect for celebrating any birthday milestone. Whether your little one is turning one, two, or beyond, we'll create a fun experience that fits their personality.
